As if to teach a lesson that not ALL 16th century urchin thieves (half the populace) were rapists and murderers; general scary mean guys, despite their intimidating looks. Then, to appeal more to the target audience of female teens and little girls, they made him Prince Charming with a personality, so you know he’s ‘good and pretty’, and there wouldn’t be a societal issue in pairing a 25+ year old ex-con with someone the size of a 14 year old. The panel of women who decided what makes a man attractive had the ideal of a man who looks like this, with a constant Dreamworks face, thus the ‘handsome’ Flynn was born, and the lovable giant Bastion was scrapped. Also: liking Bastion more is not at all an unpopular opinion! Its nearly unanimous that everyone thinks he’s way more adorable and/or would prefer him in the film. IM SO MAD AT THIS MOVIE I WILL NEVER STOP BEING MAD AT THIS MOVIE IM SO MAD It’s not that I disliked Flynn in the movie, but he wasn’t anything special. It’s a let down to see originality extinguished by a suave grin. And how could anyone say no to that hug up there? ^^^ I wouldn’t have minded a larger hero.

I wouldn’t have minded a larger hero.
I don’t have a problem with Flynn, but it is really interesting to think how different that movie could have been.
uuuhhgg they should’ve stuck with this model! he’s so adorable ;w;
I can see him coming off like a blend of Krunk and Pacha from Emperor’s New Groove/School and that gives me warm...
bawww. flynn was nice and all, but i much prefer this bastion guy. plus glen keane’s drawings, holy wow.
I know XD He seems so much more interesting, and just so…unique. He looks like he could actually be a more realistic...
Aw, I wish this would’ve stuck! He’s a giant teddy bear!!
B’AAAWW! D: That first idea is adorable and it’s not just ‘cause I’m a sucker for height difference in pairings. I would...
He’s precious! I love our Flynn, but look at this big ole bear preciousness.
I want a hug from this guy :D
